Antonio Miller is the founding owner of Mitchell County Pediatrics and Health Center. He received his bachelor's in nursing from Columbus State University and he completed his advanced practice education from South University School of Nursing where he trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Southwest Georgia. He received his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from South University with a dissertation entitled. Education A Childhood Obesity Intervention for African American and Latino Children.
His work in home care, pediatrics, geriatrics, corrections and addiction medicine profoundly transformed his career and served as inspiration for starting his practice in Camilla, Georgia. Although a considerable proportion of this population is insured, physically accessing a medical provider remains challenging. This stems from barriers such as poorly managed chronic medical conditions, mental health issues, physical disabilities, and even unfavorable medical provider office hours.
We know that although many conditions are manageable and modifiable if routine preventive care is available for all age populations. Mitchell County Pediatrics and Health Center goal is to give care that is close to home.
